Jetour VT9 7-Seater SUV Set to Launch Soon in Malaysia
Hot on the heels of the Jetour Dashing launch just weeks ago, Jetour Malaysia is already preparing to roll out its next big model — the Jetour VT9, a bold new D-segment 7-seater SUV. The news was confirmed via their official Facebook page, igniting excitement among SUV enthusiasts. The Jetour VT9 made its first local appearance at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024, where it caught attention for its bold looks and its name, which closely resembles a popular local SUV. When it officially launches, it’s expected to go head-to-head with models like the Proton X90, Mazda CX-8, Nissan X-Trail, and the upcoming Jaecoo J8. Styling-wise, the VT9 sports a more aggressive design compared to its Chinese peers like the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. At the rear, it features a striking wraparound LED light bar, giving it a look that’s reminiscent of the pre-facelift Audi Q8. Under the hood, the Jetour VT9 will come with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), sending power to the front wheels. With its bold looks, three-row seating, and competitive positioning, the Jetour VT9 is shaping up to be a serious new player in Malaysia’s 7-seater SUV segment. More details are expected to follow as the launch date approaches.
