Ink black at the core, virtually impenetrable right to the rim. Deep black fruit aromatics, with hints of smoked beef and bitter chocolate. Dense and weighty on the palate, black and purple fruits fill the core but there’s ample savoury meat and dark chocolate characters to contrast. Tannins have ample intensity to match it all, ensuring it remains focused and drives long to the finish. A big boy but with poise and persistence. (Screwcap)
