The Alfa Laval SBV Sanitary Ball Valve is a hygienic full-bore valve engineered with a bore diameter equal to that of the pipeline, ensuring unrestricted flow and minimal pressure drop. This makes it ideal for managing high-viscosity fluids or particulate liquids. It is especially suited for use in pigging systems, helping to reduce product loss and boost plant efficiency. Widely applied in the dairy, food, beverage, brewery, chemical, and other hygienic processing industries.

How does SBV Sanitary Ball Valve work? |
|
The Alfa Laval SBV sanitary ball valve has a precision-made ball with full bore positioned inside the valve body between two flanges and two PTFE valve seats. A 90° rotation of the valve stem enables opening or closing the valve. Spring-loaded, self-adjusting seal rings ensure dependable stem sealing, while the PTFE-grade seats support long-term durability. The valve can be operated either by a manual handle with lockable positions or a pneumatic actuator. For servicing, valve screws allow for simple assembly and disassembly, enabling fast inspection and maintenance. |
